Employers can now search the SpaStaff.com database of high quality CVs themselves from today. Anonymised CVs are searchable by a whole range of criteria, allowing recruiters to find exactly the candidates they are looking for.
As employers refine their search, the number of available candidates meeting the specified criteria adjusts, so it is easy to find a reasonable number of closely matching CVs of interview-worthy candidates.
After buying some 'CV credits' employers can check out with their selected CVs, triggering emails describing the position offered to the chosen candidates. Only when a candidate expresses interest in the position is a CV credit used - if a candidate decides not to show interest the CV credit is released back into the employer's account for use on another CV.
Smart Search helps employers find and approach high calibre candidates quickly - and CV credits are only spent on interested job seekers, when their contact details are released.
Please let us know what you think of this innovative approach to spa recruiting.

Miranda, Andrew, Juie, David and the rest of the team very much enjoyed meeting many of you on the Spa Staff stand at our official launch on 27 & 28 February 2011 at ExCeL London. The event was a great success for us, with many employers and potential jobseekers eager to learn about the SpaStaff approach to recruiting.
The competition to win a 3 night Styrian Stone Therapy spa package for 2 people at Quellenhotel & Spa in Austria proved very popular.
For us it was a great opportunity to meet the people we serve face to face, and gratifying to hear some very positive feedback - thanks to all who dropped by...

Miranda Allard, the founder of Spa Staff.com, has spent the best part of the last 10 years trying to work out why employers find it so hard to source good quality staff while jobseekers struggle to find work. There needs to be a solution which is fast, efficient andaffordable.Recruitment is a constant aggravation for employers. Whether a 5* spa or high streetsalon it is important the new team member is well suited to their working environmentwhile meeting both practical and personal skills to blend with the needs of both clientsand colleagues. To find the right person who is looking to work in the right place at theright time is far from easy. Agencies are free to job seekers but a successful placementincurs a large fee to the employer – a less popular option these days with limited budgets.Advertisements are not only costly but can result in a pile of CVs from unsuitablecandidates wasting time and money. There is always the hope that a bright job seekermay put their CV through the door at an opportune moment……From the employee side they usually know what they are looking for - where, the typeof workplace and at which level within a team to pitch themselves. But what are theiroptions? They can send their CVs directly and hope that the timing is right for spas to belooking for a new member of staff. But that relies on the fact that the few they approachare actively recruiting. They can contact agencies – but they know their CV will onlybe forwarded to employers who are prepared to pay large fees – a rarity in this time ofbudget trimming. As a last resort they can advertise themselves in industry related mediaopportunities and hope they are spotted. So the thousands of spa staff out there lookingfor work really have a hard time just to be considered!Within 2 years of launching Spa Staff.com in 2001, Miranda realised something hadto change. The way forward should be for both sides to have free access to a globalinteractive website – directly connecting job seekers with interested employers. The onlycost would be to employers – a relatively small fee of £100 for the contact details of achosen candidate – but only after the candidate in question had confirmed reciprocalinterest in the position. The problem then, back in 2003, was that all CVs were arrivinginto her office via post. Now they all come via email and from far and wide and with theimpact of the present recession the time has come and the wait is over!http://www.spastaff.com/news?n=1
