Our Spa Receptionist is responsible for checking guests in and out of the salon & spa, while maintaining a professional and calm atmosphere.
*Ensures the “Brand Experience” for members and guests by maintaining the company standards set in the Standard Operating Procedures, Benchmark Core Values and Forbes Standards as relating to Spas.
*Adheres to policies set in place by the company
*Reports any incident or accident to the Spa Director or Supervisor.
*Submits all paperwork and financial reporting, when applicable, in accordance with company policy.
*Develops and maintains accurate department maintenance procedures and checklists through routine preventative maintenance and repair.
*Maintains a monthly inventory of supplies and/or products, when applicable.
*Becomes knowledgeable about the facility in order to effectively communicate with members and guests. Gains knowledge of all retail goods available and professionally communicates the benefits of retail items to meet guest needs.
*Helps ensure the facility is safe and secure at all times.
*Greets each and every guest with a warm welcome
*Anticipates guest needs by offering to make reservations, find directions, locate phone numbers, etc
*Uses time efficiently and maintains equipment, locker rooms, retail area and inventory during periods of down time. Keeps Spa and Fitness Center desk clear of clutter and personal effects.
*Informs co-worker(s) of pertinent information at the end of each shift. *Maintains and updates staff communication book.
Informs facility manager of any member, guest, or facility issues.
*Enrolls members and guests in requested programs. Assists guests in making reservations for spa services and personal training.
*Receives payments for goods and services and properly accounts for individual cash register. Reconciles daily sales, deposits, and receipts.
*Assists staff with moving and storing facility equipment, furniture, and products to help maintain facility and prepare for special events.
*Additional duties and projects as assigned by Department Director or Supervisor
*1-3 Years previous guest service experience in a similar salon or spa setting
*Previous experience handling money
*Excellent communication, customer service skills, and work ethic.
*Efficient, well organized, and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously.
*Professional attitude, ability to use discretion, and display a professional appearance at all times.
*Excellent verbal and written skills.
*Energetic, enthusiastic and motivational.
*Strong team player.
*Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion
*Ability to stand, sit and walk around up to 8 hours per day
