Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive scalp treatments and hair spa services tailored to individual client needs, including cleansing, exfoliating, nourishing, and relaxing procedures.
Educate clients on scalp health, hair care routines, and recommended products to enhance their ongoing hair wellness.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards across all treatment areas, adhering to industry regulations and store policies.
Utilize salon software systems such as MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client records management, and retail sales tracking.
Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing appointments, and supporting retail product displays.
Engage in retail sales by upselling hair care products, treatments, and extensions that suit client preferences and needs.
Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless store operations, including mentoring new staff members when needed.
Skills
Proven experience working in the beauty industry with a focus on scalp treatments or hair spa services.
Strong knowledge of hair care techniques, including hair coloring, styling, extensions, eyelash extensions, nail care, and barbering skills such as straight razor use.
Familiarity with salon software platforms like MINDBODY for appointment management and retail sales.
Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with clients about their needs and product recommendations.
Deep understanding of sanitation standards to ensure a safe environment for both clients and staff.
Ability to perform advanced hair coloring techniques based on color theory principles.
Experience with retail math and upselling strategies to maximize sales opportunities while providing value to clients.
Strong store management skills including front desk operations, client communication, and mentoring team members.
